A Message From the Immediate Past President: Our Strength Is in Our Members

The Merced County Republican Assembly has something to be proud of.

Today, we have 65 members who have chosen to become involved in the future of Merced County, California, and our country.

That is an accomplishment.

Not long ago, our membership had dropped significantly. Through the dedication of our members, our leadership, our speakers, and our meetings, we have worked to rebuild the MCRA.

As the Immediate Past President of the Merced County Republican Assembly, I am proud to have been part of that rebuilding effort.

But I believe we can do more.

In fact, I believe we must do more.

Sixty-five members should not be our finish line. It should be the foundation upon which we build the future of the MCRA.

Our Goal: 100 Members

Our next goal is simple:

100 MEMBERS

Imagine what 100 active members could mean for Merced County.

More volunteers.

More leaders.

More people attending meetings.

More support for good candidates.

More voter registration and outreach.

More influence in our communities.

And more opportunities to develop the next generation of Republican and conservative leaders.

I believe we can reach 100 members.

But we will not get there by waiting for people to find us.

We have to invite them.

Join Us at an MCRA Meeting

One of the best ways to learn about the Merced County Republican Assembly is to attend one of our meetings.

MCRA Monthly Meeting with Guest Speakers

Second Thursday of Every Month

Social/Dinner Hour: 5:00 PM, Meeting and Speaker Program: 6:00 PM

Hilton Garden Inn 1001 S. Coffee RoadMerced, California

Our meetings are an opportunity to meet fellow Republicans and conservatives, hear from speakers, discuss important issues, and learn how you can become involved.

And if you are already a member, bring someone with you.

The Strength of the MCRA Is Its Members

The strength of the MCRA is not one person.

It is not the President.

It is not the Immediate Past President.

It is not the Executive Board.

The strength of the MCRA is its members.

Our organization grows stronger when members attend meetings, volunteer, support candidates, share information, and invite others to become involved.

Every new member brings something valuable:

A new voice.

A new idea.

A new volunteer.

A new friend.

A potential future leader.

The next great Republican candidate, campaign volunteer, community leader, or elected official may already be living in Merced County.

They may simply be waiting for someone to invite them.

People Join People

The best way to recruit new members is often not through advertising.

It is through a personal invitation.

People join because someone asks them.

They join because they feel welcome.

They join because they meet people who share their values.

You do not have to be an officer or a political expert to recruit someone.

You simply have to ask:

"Would you like to come with me to an MCRA meeting?"

That one invitation could lead to a new member, a new volunteer, or even a future leader.

How to Join the MCRA

Becoming involved is easy.

My Challenge to Every MCRA Member

As Immediate Past President, I want to challenge each of our 65 members:

Bring one person to the MCRA.

Invite a friend.

Invite a family member.

Invite a neighbor.

Invite a coworker.

Invite a fellow Republican.

Bring them to a meeting.

Introduce them to our members.

Let them see what the MCRA is all about.

If every member helped bring just one new person into our organization, we could reach 100 members and beyond.

The Future Is Ours to Build

We should be proud of our 65 members.

But our future depends upon whether we continue to grow.

There are Republicans and conservatives throughout Merced County who share our values and want to make a difference.

We need to reach them.

We need to invite them.

We need to welcome them.

And we need to give them an opportunity to become involved.

So my challenge is simple:

Talk to one person.

Invite one person.

Bring one person.

Recruit one new member.

Together, we can build a stronger MCRA.

Together, we can develop new leaders.

Together, we can support good candidates and conservative principles.

And together, we can continue building a strong and active voice for Republicans and conservatives throughout Merced County.

Our strength is in our members.

Our future is in our growth.

My challenge to every MCRA member is simple:

WHO ARE YOU GOING TO BRING WITH YOU?
